DMCA takedown notices
If you believe material on this site infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, send a notice through the contact form. This page does not publish an email address. Do not send the notice to any other address.
Start the message with the word DMCA. When scripts run, the contact form sets the subject so that it mentions DMCA. If scripts do not run, keep DMCA as the first word of the message so the notice is still identifiable.
A complete notice includes these elements:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If one notice covers many works, include a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it, such as the page address on this site.
- Information reasonably sufficient to let us contact you, such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, and an email address if you have one.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
A notice that leaves out a required element may not be acted on. Joshua Israel Ventures LLC may remove or disable access to material that a complete notice identifies. The notice, including your contact details, may be forwarded to the person who provided the material.
Counter notice
If you believe material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter notice through the same contact form. Start the message with the words DMCA counter notice so the subject mentions DMCA.
A counter notice should include your physical or electronic signature, identification of the material and the page where it appeared before it was removed or disabled, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the removal or disabling was the result of mistake or misidentification, and your name, address, and telephone number. It should also state that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district of your address (or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Joshua Israel Ventures LLC may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the takedown notice or from that person's agent.
After a valid counter notice, the material may be restored unless the person who sent the takedown notice files a court action within the time the statute allows. This note describes the process. It is not legal advice.
Corrections
If you find an error in an explanation, a figure, a citation, or a calculator result, report it through the contact form. Name the page and quote the sentence or the result that looks wrong. We correct reported errors promptly and note the date of the correction on the page.
